Ready to start your journey as an online English teacher? Here's a clear, step-by-step guide to help you through our application process. Most candidates complete the entire process within 1-2 weeks.
Your Journey to Teaching
Complete our online application form with your personal information, teaching background, and upload required documents.
- Fill out personal and contact information
- Share your teaching experience and qualifications
- Upload CV/resume, degree certificate, and teaching certifications
- Provide a video introduction link (YouTube or similar)
Our team reviews your application and documents to ensure you meet our requirements.
- We verify your qualifications and experience
- Your video introduction is reviewed for English proficiency
- Documents are checked for authenticity
- You'll receive an email with the result
If selected, you'll have a video interview with our hiring team, including a short demo lesson.
- Discuss your background and teaching philosophy
- Conduct a 5-10 minute demo lesson
- Learn more about XD ENGLISH and the position
- Ask any questions you have about the role
We'll evaluate your interview and demo, then send you our decision via email.
- Receive feedback on your interview performance
- If successful, get a formal offer letter
- Review compensation and schedule details
- Accept the offer to proceed to onboarding
Complete our comprehensive onboarding program to prepare you for teaching Korean students.
- Set up your teaching platform account
- Complete orientation modules on our methodology
- Learn about Korean student culture and expectations
- Practice using our teaching tools and materials
What to Prepare
Having these items ready before you apply will speed up the process:
Updated CV/Resume
Highlight teaching experience, education background, and any relevant certifications. PDF format preferred.
Degree Certificate
Scan or photo of your bachelor's degree diploma or official transcript. Must be clearly legible.
Teaching Certification
TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent certification if you have one. Not required but highly recommended.
Video Introduction
A 1-2 minute video introducing yourself in English. Upload to YouTube (unlisted) or similar platform.
Demo Lesson Guidance
The demo lesson is your chance to show us your teaching skills. Here's how to prepare:
Choose a Simple Topic
Select an everyday topic like daily routines, hobbies, food, or travel. Avoid complex grammar lessons.
Focus on Conversation
Prioritize student talking time over teacher talking. Ask open-ended questions and encourage discussion.
Show Enthusiasm
Energy is contagious! Show genuine interest in teaching and connecting with students.
Speak Clearly
Use clear pronunciation and appropriate pace. Remember, your student may be a beginner or intermediate learner.
Demo Lesson Dos & Don'ts
- Prepare visual aids or props if appropriate
- Adapt to the student's level in real-time
- Give positive encouragement and corrections
- Make eye contact with the camera
- Have a backup plan if your first activity doesn't work
